Welcome to My Travel Blog!

I wish I could win the lottery or find priceless treasure buried in the sand at the beach one day that would fund my travels for the rest of time, and allow me to explore the entire world while jobless, with no financial stress. Obviously, this is an unrealistic dream that statistically speaking will most likely never come true. However, I have been lucky enough to do some exploring in between working a job I usually enjoy while also raising three children I love more than life itself.  I do think a future of continued travel will happen, just with continued employment a necessity in order to also afford life and bills. As much as I love to travel and explore, I love even more the stories I come home with. The stories that are told time after time, live with me always in my memory, and remind me of the way I felt in those exact moments when the stories first unfolded. These experiences vary greatly based on who I was traveling with, when the travel took place, and the locations in which they took place. From a jeep on a South African safari, to a pirate ship in the crystal-clear waters of Sint Maarten, there are stories to be told. I hope reading these stories will encourage my children to travel and explore the world, lead them on a life of exciting moments of their own, experiencing new cultures, food and people, and walk in the steps of history across the globe. These stories will not be told in any particular order because I am starting this project after the fact. They will be written as I remember them. One at a time. Enjoy.
