I decided to start this blog more as a personal travel journal to write about my experiences and be able to go back and review some of the amazing trips I have had, the amusing stories that always seem to happen during travel, and be able to recommend to others some of the really great elements that have stood out at each destination. So many travel bloggers now have quit their regular jobs to travel the world full time, and as much as I wish I could do that, it is not a possibility for me right now. So, I save and plan for a couple really epic journeys each year with some of my favorite travel buddies, and a variety of more attainable extended weekend trips with my kids throughout the months. I also take each of my kids on a trip with me every once in awhile so I can have quality time with them individually, while they have the opportunity to learn more about the world and the people in it. I am not starting this endeavor thinking anyone else will be interested in my experiences, but if you find yourself here, I hope you are able to recognize that a normal, average income working human can make travel happen with some planning and deal searching!
